We're hiring a Retail Merchandising Contractor for a 100% remote opportunity supporting large-scale retail environments. This role is ideal for detail-driven professionals with experience in merchandising guidelines, fixture libraries, space planning, and PowerPoint/InDesign template development.

You'll play a key role in building and maintaining merchandising libraries, creating setup guideline templates for new store designs and product launches, and supporting ad hoc space planning and in-store execution needs.

If you have 2–5 years of retail merchandising or space planning experience, strong PowerPoint/Excel skills, and a passion for organized, accurate execution, we'd love to review your profile.

Retail Merchandising Contractor

Location: New York, NY 10018
Work Setup: 100% Remote (Time zone must be specified on resume)
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Start Date: 02/02/2026

Essential Job Functions
  • Develop and maintain retail merchandising guidelines and libraries to support consistent in-store execution across a large multi-store environment.

  • Create setup guideline templates in PowerPoint and/or InDesign for new store designs and product initiatives; coordinate handoff to Retail In-Store Communications (RISC) teams for finalization and distribution.

  • Own the Fixture Library: catalog fixtures, capacities, and merchandising principles; maintain alignment with master data; publish updates bi-weekly.

  • Support ad hoc space planning requests including layout modifications, manual brand flow revisions, material organization, store-specific needs, and last-minute partner requests.

  • Provide operational support for in-store execution, including photo validation, compliance reporting, and communication requests.

Must-Have Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of experience in Retail Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Space Planning, Operations, or related function.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Working knowledge of InDesign and/or Photoshop.

  • Strong experience with fixture mapping, merchandising guidelines, planograms, or space planning tools.

  • Highly organized with strong project management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.

  • Comfortable supporting urgent and ad hoc requests with speed and accuracy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Experience in a large, multi-store retail environment strongly preferred.
