Job Title: Rural Route School Bus Driver

Job Summary:
Join our dedicated team in Northwest Missouri as a Rural Route School Bus Driver! In this vital role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of students to and from school and related events in Platte County, Maryville, Kings City, and Buchanan County. Your commitment to adhering to traffic laws and schedules will ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers. We are looking for a candidate who values a clean and safe bus environment and can foster a positive atmosphere for our students.

Job Specifications:
- Job Type: Part-Time
- Location: Northwest Missouri (Platte County, Maryville, Kings City, Buchanan County)
- Pay Rate: $15.76 per hour
- Shift: 4 hours a day (2 hours in the morning, 2 hours in the evening), Monday through Friday

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport students to and from school and designated locations.
- Prioritize student safety by adhering to traffic laws, maintaining a clean driving record, and ensuring the bus is in good working condition.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, making timely stops at designated locations.
- Supervise student behavior on the bus, ensuring a safe and respectful environment, and addressing any disciplinary issues.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, school staff, and other stakeholders regarding route changes, delays, or any safety concerns.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
- Respond to emergencies, providing first aid when necessary and following established protocols.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, passenger counts, and any incidents that may occur.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with school bus endorsement.
- Clean driving record and background check.
- Completion of a state-approved school bus driver training program.
- Experience working with children is often preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.
