Senior Medical Technician
Westborough, MA
Part Time (24hrs/week)
Contract
1st Shift 
Compensation: $38-50/hr depending on experience

Kelly Science & Clinical is hiring a Senior Medical Technician with one of our growing pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients to work in Westborough, MA. The Senior Medical Technician will perform routine lab tests under CLIA, HIPAA, GxP and laboratory safety requirements with automatic analyzers for clinical chemistry, immunology, hematology, and coagulation.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of test result.
  • Maintain records that demonstrate that proficiency testing samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens.
  • Analyse specimens using approved testing procedures.
  • Review and release test results.
  • Follow CLIA, GxP and safety guidelines as described in their respective guidelines / SOPs.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results, correct the problems encountered or immediately notify the senior technologist or supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Medical Technology preferred; or BS/BA in Chemistry or Biology, or Associates degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Technology, or Previously qualified as a Technologist under 42 CFR493
  • 5+ year of experience of high complexity clinical experience
