Senior Scientist – Polyurea/Polyurethane Systems

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Scientist to join our team and play a key role in advancing product development in the polyurea/polyurethane sector. This is a hands-on position that blends laboratory expertise with collaborative project work, focusing on formulation innovation, quality, and process improvement.
While this role does not require prior director-level experience, it offers excellent opportunities for professional growth, with the potential to take on greater technical leadership and management responsibilities over time.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and execute laboratory projects related to polyurea/polyurethane product development.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, product development, manufacturing) to design, test, and scale new products.

Develop and optimize formulations to meet customer needs and regulatory requirements.

Research and evaluate new raw materials, technologies, and application techniques to enhance product performance.

Maintain and follow quality assurance procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other standards.

Support troubleshooting efforts for production and field applications.

Prepare technical reports, documentation, and data analyses for internal and customer use.

Serve as a technical resource to both internal teams and customers, providing expertise on formulation and application methods.
Qualifications
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in polyurea/polyurethane formulation, application, or product development.

Hands-on experience with spray polyurea/polyurethane applications preferred.

Strong technical problem-solving skills and familiarity with lab instrumentation and testing methods.

Knowledge of ISO, 5S, and OSHA safety standards.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
