Senior Tax Analyst

$98-105k

*Position is hybrid: 2 days onsite, 3 days remote

Kelly is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to work with our client, a leader in sustainable and innovative chemical manufacturing, on a direct hire basis in Dunwoody! This is an excellent opportunity to work for a successful global organization whose products can be found in almost all aspects of everyday life.

The Senior Tax Analyst will:

  • Report to the Senior Tax Manager (Americas region)
  • Prepare state and local corporate income, sales/use, personal property, and other miscellaneous tax calculations and returns
  • Lead correspondence and projects with third party consultants for all indirect tax matters
  • Maintain and enhance the processes around indirect taxes
  • Organize the maintenance of exemption certificates provided by customers and to vendors
  • Assist with preparation of federal income tax provision and help ensure accurate, timely, and complete reporting for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Assist with maintaining tax calendar and tracking of tax inquiries and exposures
  • Lead state and local tax audits and inquiries as they arise
  • Assist with federal, state and local tax research and analyses
  • Assist with strategic tax planning where appropriate
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law development
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors' Degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • CPA, CMA, JD, MBA, Masters of Tax or other certifications (preferred)
  • 3+ years of relevant tax experience (industry or public)
  • Experience with US federal, state, and local tax compliance for large corporations
  • Experience with indirect taxes – both sales and use and property taxes
  • Experience with Thomson Reuters tax software (OneSource Tax Provision and OneSource Income Tax) as well as Wolter Kluwer Tax Research tools (CCH) or similar technologies
  • Proficiency in suite of Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
