Description
Job Title: Shipping/Receiving Worker
Location: Hiawatha, IA
Hours:
- 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Overtime as needed
- Hourly: $19.00
- Assemble and fill orders for shipment to customers or divisions
- Load and unload shipments from carriers/vehicles
- Process paperwork and verify merchandise and shipping documentation
- Affix appropriate shipping labels and follow customer shipping instructions
- Use scanner for the Warehouse Management System (WMS) including order picking and general put-away of material after receipt
- Verify quantities and descriptions against invoices and orders
- Substitute for other warehouse personnel as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- 1+ year experience with warehouse receiving, kitting, and shipping tasks
- Valid forklift certification (required)
- Ability to operate a forklift and other Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment
- Physically able to repeatedly lift and carry up to 50 lbs throughout the shift
- Work boots/steel-toed boots required
- Excellent attendance and ability to meet required deadlines
- Basic math skills and the ability to organize/prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills to effectively work with team members
- Able to work overtime as necessary
