Kelly Services is looking for a Shipping/Receiving Worker to work for our prestigious client locater in Brampton.

Location: Nissan Brampton
Schedule: M-F 8am-4:30pm
Rate: $23.18/hr + 4% of vacation pay

As a Shipping/Receiving Worker at Nissan, you will support the receipt, storage, and shipment of automotive parts and accessories. Your role directly contributes to building brand value and achieving enduring profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform tasks associated with the receipt, storage, and shipment of automotive parts and accessories as directed.
  2. Receive incoming items by opening crates and other containers using hand tools, verify and sort contents, and move items to specified areas for distribution to stock locations.
  3. Place materials on racks or shelves according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, etc., and mark them with identifying information as required.
  4. Locate parts and accessories specified on shipping labels, load them onto carts or trucks, and move them to sorting and shipping areas.
  5. Operate hand trucks or powered trucks as necessary.
  6. Prepare orders for shipment by verifying materials against labels, packing items to minimize damage, weighing and labeling individual parcels, and moving them to loading locations for pick-up by carriers or dealers.
  7. Clean work areas regularly.
  8. Perform other related duties as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Job Knowledge and Skill:
    • Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
    • Ability to decipher and verify multi-digit part numbers.
    • Must pass a safety certification test to operate forklift equipment.
  • Experience:
    • Related experience in receiving/stockkeeping or picking/packing is preferred.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Computer Skills:
    • Ability to use computers to look up data or information.
    • Generate/print standard reports or spreadsheets developed by others.
    • Use computer programs developed by others.
  • Physical Abilities:
    • Ability to physically perform all tasks listed in job functions, which may involve the continuous use of mechanical controls requiring repetitive hand/arm motion.
