Job Title: Shop Fabricator
Location: Aston, PA
Overview:
Kelly Services has a unique and exciting opportunity for a Shop Fabricator to join our team in Aston, PA. This position is responsible for the fabrication of rigging products made of synthetics, steel cable, and chain assemblies used in heavy lifting and cargo tie-down applications. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. Previous industrial or manufacturing experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right individual. This is a full-time position with excellent working conditions and plenty of growth potential. Key Responsibilities:
- Fabrication & Assembly
- Operate heavy-duty production equipment to fabricate rigging products (synthetics, steel cable, and chain assemblies).
- Follow detailed work instructions to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient production.
- Use hand and power tools, tape measures, and other shop equipment to complete assembly.
- Quality & Safety
- Inspect finished products for accuracy, strength, and compliance with company standards.
- Maintain awareness of safety protocols and guidelines in a manufacturing environment.
- Report and document any quality or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Organization & Maintenance
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Perform basic equipment care and routine maintenance; report major repair needs.
- Collaboration & Support
- Work independently and as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
- Assist co-workers and contribute to overall shop productivity.
- Follow direction from leads and supervisors while supporting daily production goals.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Reliable transportation.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Mechanically inclined with good hand dexterity.
- Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (addition and subtraction).
- Comfortable working independently or in a team setting.
- General knowledge of safety guidelines in a shop or manufacturing environment.
- Physical ability to perform the job, including extended standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Must be able to work in an environment with occasional loud noise.
- Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (8-hour shift).
- Shop floor environment with hands-on production tasks.
