Join the Kelly® Professional & Industrial team as a Skid or Crate Builder with Signode Industrial Group LLC, a global leader in industrial packaging solutions that help businesses safely secure, transport, and protect their products.

• Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
• Location: Salisbury, NC 28144
• Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• Workdays: Monday–Thursday, with occasional Fridays and Saturdays
• Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm / Contract

What's a typical day as a Skid or Crate Builder? You will:

• Measure, cut, and assemble wooden pallets and crates for product shipment
• Read blueprints or drawings to build complex crates to required specifications
• Build, stage, and wrap pallets to support shipping and production needs
• Maintain inventory of pallet and crate building supplies
• Break down damaged pallets and dispose of materials properly
• Inspect tools and equipment to ensure safe working condition prior to use
• Assist material handlers with loading and unloading trucks as needed
• Complete required paperwork accurately and on time
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 6S practices
• Communicate with supervisors and production teams to prevent downtime or shipping issues
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:

• High school diploma or GED
• Prior experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment
• Ability to accurately measure using a tape measure
• Experience using hand and power tools such as hammer, nail gun, and crowbar
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and housekeeping standards
• Ability to lift, move, and handle materials throughout the shift
• Reliable attendance and a team-oriented work ethic
• Ability to wear steel-toed boots (other PPE provided on site)

Preferred (but not required):
• Prior wood building, pallet building, or crate construction experience
• Forklift experience
