Job Title: Senior Human Resources (HR) Generalist

Location: Somerset, NJ
Pay Rate: $30 - $38.50

About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior HR Generalist to provide comprehensive HR support for our growing team. This hands-on role touches payroll, benefits, employee relations, training, compliance, and HR analytics. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and communicates confidently ready to thrive amid ambiguity and rapid change.

Key Responsibilities

Payroll & Benefits

  • Process payroll accurately and on time (Paylocity experience a plus)
  • Administer employee benefits including health, wellness, and retirement plans
  • Serve as primary contact for payroll and benefits inquiries

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Partner with HR leadership to investigate and resolve employee relations issues
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and industry regulations
  • Provide guidance to managers and employees on HR processes and procedures

Training & Development

  • Coordinate and facilitate training programs, onboarding, and workshops
  • Partner with managers to support employee development and engagement initiatives

HR Analytics & Operations

  • Maintain HR systems and employee records, ensuring data integrity
  • Develop and analyze HR reports using Microsoft 365 (Excel, pivot tables, reporting)
  • Monitor and interpret key HR metrics (turnover, retention, workforce trends)
  • Recommend process improvements backed by data insights

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years progressive HR experience (manufacturing, biotech, pharma, or CDMO preferred)
  • Hands-on payroll experience required; Paylocity a plus
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting)
  • Strong analytical ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Experience facilitating training and employee development
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team
