Job Title: Sr. Project Manager

Location: Grand Island, NY

The Sr. Project Manager will lead and individually contribute to multiple, cross-functional projects to achieve production capacity increases as required. Drive consistent and efficient execution of all project team members. This technical project manager will work with a broad team, across multiple functions, to identify and implement changes in production to achieve the desired capacity goals within the time constraints provided.

What will you do?

  • Perform all Project Management duties to achieve project objectives
  • Lead/work with functional teams and project resources to identify and implement improvements needed to achieve production capacity goals.
  • Development of realistic, yet bold, project plans
  • Identify program risks, execute mitigation plans that include impact to schedule and cost, while maintaining business goals
  • Align project plans with site to ensure business continuity and alignment with Production, Quality and Engineering teams
  • Develop and implement leading indicator metrics for projects to ensure project delivery
  • Implementation of standard work and processes for effective project planning, project status updates, and project communications across all levels of the business
  • Coordinate all activities with Validation staff in support of the Quality Management System.
  • May perform other related duties as required and/or assigned

How will you get there?


Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, operations or business, with evidence of operational, leadership, project management or professional experience.

PMP & MBA preferred


7+  years' experience leading multiple, cross-functional global projects and process improvement initiatives.

Strong business acumen, strategic planning skills, collaborative approach and customer focus are essential.

A Lean Six Sigma expert with extensive experience and a ‘hands-on' track record of implementing successful TPS-based business systems including elements such as:

Kaizen events on standard work, cell design, process and product 3P, Value-Analysis/Value Engineering, error-proofing, material flow, value-stream mapping and Kanban.

Expertise  in problem-solving utilizing a formal program/process

Use of SPC and Variation Reduction tools

Plant Management experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Desired

PMP, Six Sigma, Process Improvement, Lean Manufacturing (TPS).

Experience managing projects in a large, corporate environment with many stakeholders.

Knowledge or experience in life sciences or with highly technical products.

Experience or knowledge of common business systems, data analytics, PJDEdwards E1.

Passion for driving improvement and leading change in a complex, global environment

A holistic thinker who can look enterprise-wide to integrate and streamline systems for optimal benefit.

Exceptional communicator, including solid written, oral and presentation-giving skills

Willingness to be an individual contributor while simultaneously acting as the project manager.

Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

Strong business acumen, strategic planning skills, collaborative approach and customer focus are essential.
