We're seeking a Structural Mechanic II to work with our client Gulfstream, a world-renowned aircraft manufacturer, at their Savannah location.

What's a typical day as a Structural Mechanic II? You'll be:
  • Performing structural assembly, sheet metal fabrication, drilling, riveting, and installation of aircraft parts

  • Using tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic drills, countersinks, and shavers

  • Reading blueprints, work orders, and sketches to determine work sequences

  • Aligning, fitting, and assembling complex parts using jigs, fixtures, clamps, and fasteners

  • Conducting repairs per DMTs, MRRs, and PCOs and completing required rework

  • Checking all work to ensure defect-free assemblies before final inspection

  • Maintaining accurate logs and records and supporting Lean/5S activities

  • Supporting equipment upkeep, shift turnover communication, and safe housekeeping practices

This job might be an outstanding fit if you have:
  • A High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years of structural assembly experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and perform basic shop math

  • Experience working with Solumina and Smarteam (preferred)

  • Strong attention to detail, hands-on mechanical aptitude, and ability to meet demanding schedules

  • Ability to work any shift, climb ladders/stairs, work in tight spaces, and lift 50 lbs

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
