Kelly Services is seeking 4 on-site Coaches to support Target Sortation Center in Detroit, MI during their holiday peak season. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role supporting one of the nation's top retailers during their busiest time of year. 

  

Available Shifts (12-hour shifts) 

  • Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM 

  • Sunday–Tuesday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM 

  • Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM 

  • Wednesday–Saturday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM 

  

Pay Rate $27.00 per hour 

  

About the Role 

As a Coach, you'll act as an on-site representative of Kelly Services, working closely with Target's management team to lead and support our temporary workforce. You'll serve as the key liaison between Kelly's employees, Target's leadership, and our internal Kelly team to ensure operational success, safety, and performance excellence. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Provide daily direction, supervision, and support to Kelly temporary employees. 

  • Ensure all workers check in/out with security and follow timekeeping procedures accurately. 

  • Monitor attendance, track no-call/no-shows, and help coordinate additional staffing as needed. 

  • Conduct or assist with on-site orientations for new workers. 

  • Ensure all safety documentation and checklists are completed and submitted. 

  • Participate in start-of-shift meetings and communicate updates, priorities, and goals. 

  • Provide task training and additional instruction as needed. 

  • Monitor team performance, ensuring quality, productivity, and safety standards are maintained. 

  • Correct unsafe behaviors and coach employees on proper lifting and safety techniques. 

  • Report any safety incidents to Target's Safety Manager within 24 hours and assist with follow-up investigations. 

  • Maintain continuous communication with the Kelly Services representative overseeing the site. 

  

Qualifications 

  • Previous experience in a supervisory, team lead, or coordinator role (preferred in warehouse, logistics, or distribution settings). 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and hold others accountable. 

  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills. 

  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts and weekends as scheduled.
