Kelly Services is hiring an Upholstery Technician III to work with Gulfstream, a leading aircraft manufacturer, at GAC Savannah, GA (31408). This role offers hands-on aerospace experience in a team-oriented production environment with a 12-month contract.

Schedule: Full-time, 2nd shift, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM

Key responsibilities:

Fabricate and install seat covers, curtains, and various assemblies and subassemblies.

Interpret material specifications and design/engineering drawings to ensure finished products meet engineering requirements.

Sew, fabricate, and install covers for all styles of aircraft interior panels while meeting safety, quality, and productivity goals.

Use the material tracking system (Corridor) to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-off work.

Cut and install advanced custom design carpets with unique patterns according to design specifications.

Accept Lead responsibilities as needed, delegating tasks and overseeing projects.

Conduct safety audits and assist team members in safety procedures.

Maintain shop equipment and associated JSAs; comply with Safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies.

Mentor and train less experienced technicians, ensuring tasks are completed safely and accurately.

Assist with process improvements to reduce material costs, cycle time, and labor hours using Lean Six Sigma tools.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
-
High School Diploma or GED required.
-
4 years of upholstery experience, including at least 2 years in aircraft upholstery or 6 years in commercial upholstery.

Advanced knowledge of upholstery and sewing processes, products, and/or carpet installation.

Working knowledge of Gulfstream inspection and process specifications.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English proficiently.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering documentation.

Computer literate.

Must be able to climb ladders and stairs, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 40 lbs.
