Vaccine Production Supervisor - GMP Cleanroom

Kelly Scientific is seeking an experienced Vaccine Production Lab Supervisor for an opportunity with one of our partners in Kansas City, KS. This individual must have 4+ years' experience in the biologics industry and 2+ years as a supervisor or Manager in the biologic/pharma industry.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production activities of the manufacturing process in a GMP cleanroom setting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to ensuring production complies with the applicable SOPs, batch records, Company Safety and Quality Policies, and regulations for production. Also responsible for achieving productivity targets and employee coaching, development, and performance management.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates a strong compliance mindset (Quality, Environmental Health and Safety, and Finance) by setting high standards for themselves and their team. Ensure adherence to company safety and waste management policies.
  • Ensures that they and their team follow safe operating instructions.
  • Ensures correct tools and equipment specified for the task are available and utilized.
  • Ensures personal protective equipment required is available and utilized.
  • Follow up on any reported issues or workplace hazards immediately.
  • Report any accidents, incidents, or near misses within 24 hours. Participate in investigation and identification of effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Supports timely quality tasks in Deviation, CAPA, and Change Control management.
  • Supports Quality Assurance including cGMP, RFT, and good documentation practices.
  • Accountable for the weekly and monthly schedule adherence for production.
  • Contributes to creating a culture of continuous improvement, leading by example, and providing coaching to their team.
  • Responsible for Performance Management and Employee Development plans.
  • Ensuring all team members receive appropriate training on tasks and company principles.
  • Proactively manages own and others work.
  • Facilitates positive and inclusive company culture.
  • Self-motivated and can work with minimal supervision.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific field preferred.
  • 4+ years' experience in the biologics industry.
  • 2+ years of managerial/supervisory experience in the biologic/pharma industry preferred.
  • Knowledge of Quality Systems; investigations/CAPAs/and performing gap assessments.
