  • Operate and maintain boilers and cooling towers, performing water quality testing and ensuring proper chemical dosing for corrosion and biological control.

  • Coordinate waste disposal and support safe chemical handling procedures.

  • Interface with external agencies to ensure smooth inspections and prompt issue resolution.

  • Support inspections, safety checks, and daily walkthroughs for firewater and stormwater systems.

  • Help develop training and ensure all operators maintain current licenses and required documentation.

  • Perform minor maintenance and coordinate with teams for repairs and calibrations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Must possess a valid South Carolina Grade B-Biological wastewater operator license.

  • Grade A-Biological certification is highly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes, boiler and cooling tower chemistry, and regulatory compliance practices.

  • Familiar with SCDHEC permits, SPCC plans, and environmental management best practices.
