We are looking for an experienced Regional HSES Manager to play a key role in further strengthening our Health, Safety, Environment & Security culture across our European organization. In this role, you will work closely with site leadership and corporate teams to reduce risk, harmonize HSES management systems, and drive continuous improvement in safety, health, environmental performance, and sustainability. You will act as a trusted partner to plant managers and HSES professionals, contributing to safe, compliant, and future-ready operations across Europe.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Improved implementation and effectiveness of site Life Critical Procedures (LCPs) and Health and Safety Policies (Reduced risk & LCP related incidents).
  • Establish a security assessment protocol and provide input and guidance to sites regarding security vulnerabilities and improvement opportunities (Reduced risk & security related incidents).
  • Continuous improvement of processes at the sites such as (Process) Hazard Assessment/ LOPA's / Risk Analysis and Incident Investigation / Root Cause Analysis (Reduced risk, reduced injury rate, reduced repeat injuries & reduce LOPC's and fires).
  • Sustained continuous improvement initiatives for Contractor and Transportation Safety Programs (Reduced Contractor risk and incident rates).
  • Management and oversight of the comprehensive Industrial Hygiene exposure assessment program (Zero employee exposures above OEL).
  • Leading and participating in the Key Element Survey (KES) auditing program (Audit cycle executed with quality audits and effective action plans).
  • Generate data analysis reports based on incident and industrial hygiene data to establish trending and resources needs (effective input for future initiatives and program development).
  • Expanded use of HSES training via company consistent web-based training and a Learning Management System (improved quality and consistency of training).
  • Establish a consistent management system approach to functions of Kraton and ensure consistent approach with EU sites (Research and Development, Warehouses, Offices, Sales Offices, Leased locations and Tolling Operations)
  • Support and implementation of a tool for HSES incident management, risk analysis and action item tracking (Effective implementation of tool)
  • Manage the ISCC program and coordinate other EU management systems
  • Support corporate Sustainability program
  • Key members of the Corporate HSES Governance team. Works very closely with EU HSES professionals at sites and corporate. Seeing by EU plant managers as a helpful resource.
Required Skills
  • More than 5 years experience in an Occupational Health and Safety related field.
  • Experience with ISO 14001/45001 implementation or other HSES Management Systems.
  • Familiar environmental regulations in countries where Kraton has operations.
  • Language proficiency – English required, other EU languages is a benefit

Education, Certifications & Licenses
  • Bachelor's of science or similar university degree; preferably in the Occupational Health and Safety Area.
  • CIH or CSP Preferred.
