The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial support to Kraton's management teams by ensuring best-in-class financial processes and financial reporting is provided to key internal and external stakeholders; compliance with the required United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP); driving Kraton's ability to report reliable and accurate information about the business; and partnering with the commercial and operating teams to derive shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities- Support in the preparation of budgets, operating plans, forecasts, and investment strategies.
- Provide timely, relevant and accurate reporting & analysis of the results of the company's performance against historical, budgeted, forecasted and strategic planning results to facilitate decision-making toward the achievement of the budget and strategic plan.
- Liaise directly with Segment Controllers for financial insight on both current period analytics as well as point of view development for forecast builds.
- Manage delivery of key reporting metrics for Kraton Leadership Team.
- Assist Director, Corporate Finance in management of corporate financial forecasting model.
- Key contributor for preparation of quarterly Board of Director presentations.
- Key contributor for preparation of quarterly and annual public filings.
- Perform ad hoc reports and other analyses and special projects as requested.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in finance and accounting required.
- Knowledge of accounting policies and practices.
- Excellent problem solving skills, detailed oriented with focus on quality and accuracy.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office applications advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work in a challenging fast paced environment.
- SAP experience (FI/COPA/BI) preferred.
- Experience with BPC a plus.
- Strong financial analysis experience and cost accounting experience is preferred.
- Ability to work in a highly automated environment and pull data and translate it into meaningful business information.
- Effective communication skills – written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation with an emphasis in the English language.
- Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
- Experience working collaboratively within a matrix work environment and team structure across geographic boundaries.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance or accounting.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or MBA a plus.
- Chemical industry or manufacturing experience required.
