POSITION SUMMARY

The Inventory Clerk reports to the Warehouse Supervisor and is based out of our Seabrook, New Jersey location. This individual will be responsible for shipping transactions in the QAD system.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (essential functions of the job)

Responsibilities include:
  • Adjust work orders in QAD for any count discrepancies and communicate to impacted departments when it is complete.
  • Complete cycle counts
  • Complete miscellaneous packaging cycle counts.
  • Clean out QAD data to match RF versus inventory
  • Conduct daily cycle counts, input results into QAD and quarterly cycle count spreadsheet; must maintain accurate inventory in QAD
  • Complete random cycle counts on the finished product; responsible for determining which items to cycle count and at what frequency
  • Input cycle counts in QAD and informs impacted departments of any significant cycle count adjustments
  • Review and check finished goods for quality issues and identify any damaged product, coding, and that the process of FIFO is followed. Must determine corrective action to correct records keeping
  • Travel to 3rd party warehouses to perform cycle counts of inventory stored off-site
  • Assist in training new team members as needed.

 The starting rate for this position is: $17.62 - $26.42



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

Minimum Required Qualifications

 

  • Must have a valid Driver's License and clear driving record.
  • 6 months related experience
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Extensive warehouse knowledge, including an understanding of inventory principles and the ability to use inventory reporting systems (QAD/RF Scanner)
  • Extensive computer knowledge and ability to effectively communicate analysis of any issues or problems.
  • Forklift certification


 

  • Must be detailed oriented and can multi‐task
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Plan and complete assigned tasks within deadlines
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Results-driven with excellent communication and problem‐solving skills
  • Ability to multi‐task and work under pressure in a fast‐paced dynamic environment with changing demands and priorities
  • Possess excellent written communication skills for reports and presentations
  • Professionalism to work effectively and collaboratively across multiple levels of the organization

 

 

Additional Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the food/beverage industry
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing or production environment
  • Previous experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with using RF scanner
  • Ability to direct, coach, and train others.
  • Consultative, influential, strategic thinking and problem‐solving skills.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting; driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.

 

FREQUENT: Ability to talk and hear; ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, and/or crouch; push/pull; lift up to 50 pounds; use of hands and fingers to operate machinery/equipment and all manual and electronic equipment in the area of responsibility. Exposure to wet and humid conditions and fluctuations in ambient temperature (seasonal).

 

OCCASIONAL: Squatting, kneeling, ability to reach above and at shoulder height. Ability to wear a dust mask, and perform Confined Entry using LOTO program. Exposure to toxic and corrosive chemicals.

 

VISION: Ability to use close and distance vision, as well as color and peripheral vision with or without correction. Must be able to visually detect obstacles and potential dangers in a fast‐paced production environment involving high-speed equipment and powered industrial lift equipment.

 

HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. Exposure to noise levels from pumps, machinery, forklift traffic, bottle lines and exhaust fans.
