Pay Range for this position is: $111,000-$167,000 plus annual bonus, depending on experience and geographical location.
POSITION SUMMARY
The EDI Manager is a strategic IT leadership role based in Cherry Hill, NJ, responsible for overseeing all Electronic Data Interchange initiatives, systems, and processes. This manager ensures smooth electronic communication with trading partners, manages the integration of EDI solutions across internal teams, leads a team of analysts and support staff, and drives continuous improvement in data interchange capabilities while serving as a liaison between IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and external partners.
Primary Responsibilities include:
- Strategy & Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of the organization's EDI strategy.
- Manage a team of EDI analysts and support personnel.
- Function as a liaison between internal teams (IT, Sales, Operations, Finance) and external trading partners.
- EDI Operations & Support
- Maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot EDI systems, transactions, and communications.
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of EDI data exchanges (e.g., purchase orders, invoices, ASNs).
- Set up and manage EDI trading partner relationships, including onboarding and testing.
- Technical Management
- Design, configure, and support EDI mappings and workflows using tools such as [Sterling B2B Integrator, Cleo Integration, etc.].
- Collaborate with Applications Manager and any required third-party software vendors to support integration efforts.
- Monitor system performance and implement optimizations or upgrades as needed.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and company policies.
- Maintain detailed documentation for all EDI processes, mappings, and trading partner requirements.
- Stay current with EDI trends, standards, and best practices.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Education:
bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience:
- 5+ years of direct EDI experience, including implementation and support.
- 2+ years in a leadership or management role preferred.
- Proven experience with EDI tools (e.g., Gentran, Cleo, IBM Sterling, Seeburger, etc.) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Dynamics, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML).
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and people skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires sufficient physical ability to work in a typical office setting, driving a motor vehicle and occasionally working in the field.
FREQUENT: sitting, upward and downward flexion of neck; fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to include extended periods of keyboard and mouse use, side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending and stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting at waist, moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
OCCASIONAL: squatting, kneeling, reaching above and at shoulder height, moderate grasp to manipulate reference books and manuals; lifting objects weighing up to fifty pounds from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to fifty feet.
VISION: Ability to see in the normal visual range with or without correction.
HEARING: Ability to hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
