Launch your career with Land Electronics in Huntsville, AL as a Material Handler. In this entry-level position with excellent growth potential, you will be an essential part of our team, focusing on stockroom management, kitting, and shipping. You will load, unload, and move materials within or near the plant, warehouse, storage facility, or worksite. Additionally, you will collaborate with the team to enhance current systems, functions, and daily operations to achieve our goals more effectively.

•    Load, unload and move materials within or near plant, warehouse, storage facility or worksite. 
•    Work with the team to improve current system, functions, and daily operations to meet goals more effectively
•    Maintain system critical data elements 
•    Perform materials cycle counting  
•    Read work orders or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved
•    Open containers using steel cutters, crowbar, claw hammer, or other hand tools
•    Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand 
•    Load materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools 
•    Convey materials to or from storage or worksites to designated areas to include the manufacturing floor by use of hand truck, electric dolly, forklift (company will sponsor certification), or another device
•    Count, weigh, and record materials moved or handled in an ERP system 
•    Attach tags or label to materials or otherwise marks information 
•    Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization
 

•  0+ years' experience plus high school diploma 
•  May require forklift certification
•  Basic computer skills
•  Valid drivers license 
•  Have the ability to bend, stoop, stand for extended periods and be able to lift 50 lbs
