The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. Basic Qualifications and Required Skills- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, engineering or equivalent experience A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense
- Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures
- Demonstrated management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
- Experience throughout the product lifecycle from New Product Introduction through obsolescence to include: generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts
- Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations
- Strong customer interface skills
- Demonstrated problem solving skills
- Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control
- Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Analyze material and program reports to understand issues and create action plans
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the planners and coordinators
- Create and maintain special reports
- Interface with production and engineering to understand and resolve issues
- Enforce company and department policies and procedures
- Monitor metrics and take action as appropriate
- Actively involved in program closure activities
- Communicate and clarify departmental goals and metrics
- Responsible for ensuring monthly budgets are not exceeded, takes action to realign to plan if budgets are exceeded
- Support, communicate and defend the mission, values and culture of the company
U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
