Job Summary

A nurturing, caring person to provide smooth coordination of staff/child interactions and curriculum activities in a classroom. Demonstrates the ability to consider each child's individual needs and the appropriate interest levels of the group in order to provide for developmentally appropriate curriculum. Assures that quality DSS and LMC standards are reached on a continuous basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Years of Experience: None
Substitutable Education & Experience (Optional): None.
Required Certifications/Licensure: None.
Required Training: None.

Essential Functions
  • Incumbents in this role without 6 months experience must be supervised by senior staff.
  • Provides a safe and nurturing learning environment while on duty.
  • Ensures an age appropriate and structured learning environment in the classroom at all times.
  • Facilitates positive interactions between children, parents, and team members.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and respond according to LMC and DSS policies.
  • Create a warm and inviting learning environment.
  • Train and use the CDC communication application with minimal supervision and editing.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by management.

*Incumbents with less than 6 months of experience in a DSS licensed facility must be supervised by senior staff until they reach 6 months of experience working in a DSS licensed facility.
