Loyola University Health System and Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine invites applications for a full-time clinical practice gastroenterologist to join our nationally ranked Digestive Health program. The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in general gastroenterology and may have a focused clinical interest and expertise in a specific area including but not limited to quality improvement, education, allergic diseases of the GI tract, genetic risk for GI cancers, esophageal disease, small bowel disorders, and GI motility disorders. The candidate should be Board Eligible/Board Certified in Gastroenterology and possess an Illinois license at the time of appointment. The candidate must have a commitment to teaching and mentoring as well as academic productivity. The preferred candidate will be at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and be a full-time member of the Division in the Department of Medicine.

Loyola University Medical Center has a close partnership with Edward Hines, Jr. VA Hospital, which lies immediately east of Hines' campus. Most faculty members of have joint appointments at Hines and Loyola students and resident physicians rotate through Hines as part of their training. Researchers from Loyola and Hines collaborate closely on many federally funded studies.
