Overview
The Mastercard Franchise Resolutions team's mission is to promote balance and integrity in the payments ecosystem by arbitrating customer disputes and compromise events across various platforms. They achieve this through innovative processes, data analytics, and cyber intelligence. Mastercard's Dispute Resolution Management business unit handles chargeback-related responsibilities such as settling disputes, reviewing and deciding on arbitration and compliance cases, educating customers on chargeback processing, serving in a consultative capacity to internal and external audiences, and managing and evolving Mastercard chargeback and arbitration rules. With a focus on providing excellent customer service and staying ahead of industry trends, the team helps ensure a seamless payment experience for all Mastercard users.
Role
• The core responsibility of this role is to directly assist and report to DRM management in the AP region, being able to act as their deputy and, in due time, carry out some of DRM management core tasks and projects under their supervision.
• Review and rule on chargeback arbitration cases specific to cardholder disputes, fraud, point of interaction errors, authorization, and questionable merchant activity.
• Assist with customer inquiries, support and resolving issues related to chargeback arbitration cases.
• Ensure initiatives align with business goals, and processes are maintained to meet service and quality standards.
All About You
• Have a clear mission that focuses on the attention of the customer's needs above your own.
• Experience and knowledge in chargebacks, dispute management, fraud, transaction processing and/or compliance-related investigations are preferred.
• Knowledge of the local market, including Singapore.
• Experience and ability to work independently produce results as well as in a team setting.
• Knowledge and/or expertise of the payment card industry and banking operations practices preferred.
• Exposure to relevant Microsoft Office programs and ability to create deliverables on a timely basis (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or Law, or other majors such as Engineering, Statistics or Information Technology
• Candidates with equivalent work experience are equally preferred.
• Ability to work in a high-paced environment.
• Possess both written and verbal excellent communication skills.
• Capable of performing research across multiple subject lines and attention to detail
• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or accelerated master's program graduating between Dec 2025 – June 2026.
• Able to start work on 6 July 2026 (Start dates are fixed)
• You do not require any work visa sponsorships to work in Singapore
