Title and Summary

Data Quality Manager - Software Engineering Overview:

Seeking an experienced Data Quality Manager, Software Engineering to ensure the integrity, consistency, and reliability of our data warehouse. You will lead a team responsible for monitoring and improving data quality across pipelines to meet business needs and compliance standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership / Collaboration:
• Manage a team of software engineers and data quality analysts, providing guidance and training for high performance.
• Conduct regular data quality reviews and present findings to senior management.
• Collaborate with Product Management Technical, partners, and business stakeholders to support the roadmap and address needs.

Data Quality Management / Improvement:
• Establish and uphold data quality standards, policies, and procedures for the data warehouse.
• Define and track data quality metrics and KPIs; identify improvement areas.
• Implement and improve data quality tools to enhance validation and monitoring.
• Manage data quality projects for timely delivery.
• Lead the team in monitoring as well as reporting data quality trends, issues, and improvements.

Root Cause Analysis & Resolution:
• Guide the team in investigating and resolving data discrepancies promptly.
• Identify recurring data quality issues and lead efforts to address root causes.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
• Strong background in Data Warehousing, ETL processes, and data quality management
• Solid experience with big data platforms (e.g. Hadoop, Oracle, Snowflake)
• Strong knowledge of data quality frameworks, methodologies, and tools
• In depth understanding of relational databases (SQL) and data warehousing concepts.
• Proficiency in data quality measurement techniques, including data profiling and validation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
