Overview
The Mastercard Direct Services team (“MCDS”) is the dynamic B2B sales arm of Mastercard, committed to nurturing and developing business with high-potential customers across the European region & beyond. Our approach is to develop small customers, size does not matter for us, we grow prospects and transfer mature, prepared and healthy partners to the local offices.

MCDS is part of Market Development Europe which is the engine of European growth by winning in non-traditional segments while anticipating and shaping European market transformation. There are 5 domains to deliver this: Merchants and Commerce, Digital Partners, Public Sector, Mastercard Direct Services and Mastercard Processing (MPE). These domains provide diversification, huge growth opportunities and ensure we continue to adapt our business model to new realities. We work closely with the Division and Country presidents, Account Management, Product, Business and Acceptance Development, and other functions.
MCDS are looking for Director, Account Management. This role will report directly into the Director, NE, UK&I, CE Clusters and is responsible for driving Core Payments, Commercial & New Payments Flow, Services and brand preference.

Role
You will be responsible for developing and growing business with Mastercard partners in the assigned geography within 2 divisions: Norther Europe (NE), UK & Ireland (UK&I).
You will lead the MCDS on-boarding pipeline and management of strategic partnerships, delivering on strategic and operational targets to the MCDS team.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and grow business with Mastercard partners in the assigned geography.
- Lead the creation and closure of all business opportunities.
- Generate and maintain a significant qualified lead and sales pipeline.
- Own the customer's P&L including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Execute strategic account commercial deals and/or strategic partnership agreements.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Drive the co-creation and development of new business models, value propositions, and/or innovative ecosystems in collaboration with customers, internal stakeholders, and/or external third-party providers as required.
- Develop new business opportunities/sales pipeline leveraging the full suite of Mastercard products and solutions, including co-brands, prepaid and commercial products, Mastercard Services, and other Mastercard product service innovations or enhancements.
- Develop financial modelling and business cases for identified opportunities.
- Strive for broadening strategic partnerships with assigned customers.

About You:
- Proven executive management credibility.
- Demonstrable teamwork skills are required.
- Must be articulate and creative, adept at delivering face-to-face presentations to a senior audience and/or a broader organization.
- Excellent relationship-building and strong communication skills.
- Data analysis, data tracking, and management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Mastercard products and services.
- Project management and planning skills.
- Experience working with Salesforce CRM system.
- Financial forecasting and reporting, budgeting skills.
- Strong strategic business development and sales experience/skills.
- Extensive knowledge and demonstrable application of financial industry/banking operations and business practices with a strong focus on payment products (acquiring).
- Fluency in at least two European languages is required, with English being a must.

Travel: Some degree of travel anticipated.
