Title and Summary
Director, Citizen Development & Finance Solutioning The Director of Citizen Development & Finance Solutioning will drive innovation and efficiency in Finance through technology-enabled solutions and citizen development programs while serving as the central point of contact for Finance solutioning and intake management. This role will oversee solution intake, alignment with business objectives, ROI analysis, and routing requests to appropriate execution teams (PMO, Automation, Citizen Development). The Director will ensure program success by providing governance, tools, training, and standards for citizen-led innovation, while also driving strategic solutioning for Finance initiatives. Additionally, this leader will translate functional strategy into actionable tools and methodologies, track program performance, and manage a high-performing team.Role & Responsibilities:
Program Leadership
• Establish and govern the Citizen Developer program across the organization.
• Define program strategy, standards, and best practices for citizen-led development.
• Drive adoption and engagement through communication, training, and enablement initiatives.
Finance Solutioning & Intake Management
• Act as the central point of contact for Finance solution requests.
• Manage intake of Finance-related automation and solutioning requests.
• Validate alignment with Finance business needs and organizational priorities.
Solution Intake & Alignment
• Oversee intake of requests for automation and citizen-led solutions across functions.
• Ensure compliance with governance and security standards.
ROI Analysis & Prioritization
• Perform cost-benefit analysis for proposed solutions.
• Prioritize initiatives based on impact, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Routing & Execution
• Route and manage requests to appropriate execution teams (PMO, Automation, Citizen Development).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and successful delivery.
Delivery & Enablement
• Provide tools, training, and frameworks for citizen developers.
• Establish governance to maintain quality, security, and scalability of solutions.
• Monitor program performance and continuously improve processes.
Strategic Leadership & Team Management
• Translate functional strategic vision into tools, methodologies, and software solutions.
• Identify and execute opportunities for process improvement and innovation.
• Track program performance, including adherence to timelines, budgets, customer satisfaction, and impact.
• Formally supervise and coach a large team
• Ensure compliance with goal-setting and performance appraisal processes.
• Identify and develop top talent within the team
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in technology, automation, or program management.
• Proven experience in leading enterprise-wide programs and governance frameworks.
• Strong understanding of low-code/no-code platforms and citizen development concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large teams and develop talent.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Finance processes and solutioning.
• Knowledge of automation technologies (RPA, workflow tools).
• Familiarity with PMO processes and solution delivery methodologies.
• Ability to drive cultural change and foster innovation.
