Title and Summary

Director, Fintech Co-brand Business Development Role Overview: Director, Business Development – Fintech Co-Brand (Americas)

In this high-impact, externally facing role, you will be responsible for aggressively growing Mastercard's Fintech & Digital co-brand market share across the Americas. Your mission is to hunt new opportunities and drive strategic wins by cultivating senior-level relationships with fintechs, digital partners, consultants, and core co-brand prospects.
You will be the tip of the spear in identifying and converting high-value opportunities across all payment product types (credit, debit, prepaid, SMB, etc.), ensuring Mastercard is the preferred partner in every deal.

Key Responsibilities
• Hunt: Proactively identify and pursue co-brand program opportunities. Develop compelling strategies to secure these programs to Mastercard.
• Strategic Relationship Building: Build and maintain senior-level relationships with external partners, including fintechs, digital players, consultants, bin sponsors and processors. Be the trusted advisor who opens doors and closes deals.
• Revenue Growth & Deal Leadership: Drive Mastercard revenue through strategic brand and payments partnerships. Lead negotiations, develop term sheets and financial offers, and manage contract execution.
• Sales Process Innovation: Continuously evolve the sales narrative and process to ensure the “Why Mastercard” story resonates. Deliver custom, creative solutions and bundled service offerings tailored to partner needs.
• Financial Modeling & Offer Structuring: Build and refine financial models that balance partner appeal with Mastercard's strategic and financial goals. Ensure offers are competitive and profitable.
• Market Intelligence & Prospecting: Stay ahead of fintech and digital trends. Develop frameworks to identify high-potential prospects and flip opportunities.
• Pitch Development: Create persuasive, customized pitch decks that showcase Mastercard's capabilities and align with partner goals. Support and lead customer presentations.
• Salesforce & Contract Management: Maintain accurate Salesforce records and manage contracts via Ironclad to ensure pipeline visibility and deal integrity.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, Product, Marketing, Law & Franchise, Data & Services, etc.) and external stakeholders (processors, bin sponsors, program managers) to ensure seamless deal execution and product launches.
• Note: This role requires regular travel to customer meetings, industry events, and conferences.

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.
