Title and Summary

Director, People Business Partner Overview
The Director, People Business Partner (PBP) will support the Chief Administration Office (CAO) and Risk organizations of Mastercard and lead a wide range of human resources programs and activities, including, but not limited to the design and execution of the people strategy, business partner consultation, performance management, employee coaching, talent management, employee relations, and compensation planning. This role will provide strategic people business partnership to senior leaders within the Law and Policy teams, a unit within CAO, as well as provide day to day support to US based people leaders and employees across CAO and Risk organizations.

The primary responsibility is to partner with the business to develop and drive our Mastercard People Strategy and business outcomes as well as ensure optimal organizational operating effectiveness. This hands-on and consultative role helps enable high productivity, employee engagement and a strong inclusive culture.

Role
• Delivers our people strategy that supports business priorities and growth strategies for CAO and Risk
• Member of the leadership team within the Law and Policy organization
• Provides counsel on organizational design, career leveling, talent development and change management for senior leaders in Law & Policy
• Provides support for all US based people leaders and employees within the CAO and CRO organization related to leading employee relations matters in partnership with our Employee Relations function, championing the various enterprise wide solutions for learning & development and employee listening, reinforcing and guiding employees through our self service solutioning model for general inquiries
• Acts as a primary point of contact with COEs and the GBSC on program delivery issues and customizations for the business they support
• Conducts talent audits and ensures appropriate plans are in place
• Shares local intelligence and provides a “field perspective” on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives
• Provides advice, coaching and support to executives, managers and employees on development, employee relations, workforce planning and rewards issues
• Responsible for the management and delivery of core People & Capability programs business group; partners closely with other PBPs to ensure seamless delivery
• Provides in-depth market insight and advises on talent implications of external trends that may have workforce implications
• Works closely with COEs to deliver programs and customize when necessary. Shares feedback on the effectiveness of programs and initiatives.
• Serves as subject matter expert on the local labor market and regulatory environment
• Participates in the day-to-day delivery of local HR operations and serves

• Demonstrated success when consulting with senior leaders on strategic people related matters
• Demonstrated success when guiding and advising people leaders and employee on local HR issues

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
