Director, Product Management (Open Finance Connectivity)
We are seeking a strategic and technical leader to serve as Director, Open Finance Product Management (Connectivity). This role will oversee the development and prioritisation of the strategic and operational priorities for Open Finance data connections (including new banks and data providers, new API endpoints, updates, and fixes of existing endpoints, etc.) across European markets. They will champion the integration of AI and automation to drive scale and efficiency in the building, testing, and upgrading of our API connections.
This leader will be a key part of the Europe Product & Engineering leadership team that is blending the agility of a fintech scale-up with the strength and resources of a leading global technology company.

Responsibilities
• Lead our team of product professionals who manage the build, testing and maintenance of our own API connections, cultivating a team of proactive technical product owners with deep knowledge of our markets and a forward-thinking approach to building and upgrading local connectivity
• Own the strategic direction, business rationale, roadmap development and prioritisation for OFin Connectivity based on market research, competitive insights, and overall Product / Use case strategy and vision
• Assess connectivity standards across markets and define Connectivity path to facilitate Mastercard's OFin ambitions (what is needed for each use case, what could be used for account identifiers, how to approach business connectivity, other data sources, etc.)
• Actively engage in Open Banking and Open Finance forums and communities
• Create and ensure cohesiveness of connectivity operations across markets, manage cross-market connectivity initiatives, and assess the impact of new features and use cases on connectivity
• Drive automation and efficiency across connectivity processes, including the development of a proactive testing program to ensure quality of overall connectivity is increased and maintained
• Partner closely with engineering team providing detailed market analysis with clear user stories and business requirements
• Ensure client facing assets (e.g., documentation, developer sites, contracts) are maintained, improved, and updated as new features are developed
• Design and implement an appropriate reporting framework in line with Mastercard standards and regulatory / legal obligations

All About You
• Bachelor's degree required, analytical / technical degree from a top-tier program preferred.
• Successful product development and/or product management leadership experience
• Understanding of APIs, Open Banking, Open Finance, developer ecosystems, and financial services
• Exemplary analytical and problem-solving skills and business acumen; seasoned in identifying the most critical aspects of a problem and handling ambiguity with ease.
• Demonstrated ability to lead company-wide, complex projects from start to finish, effectively driving forward project plans and leveraging stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Proven track record of leading a team working in a fast-paced environment towards an objective
• Ability to structure amorphous problems, break down complex asks into tangible steps
• Experience working on a cross-functional team/project to produce the best solution.
• Be a good collaborator and listener, influencer and able to navigate a matrixed organization and /reporting structure.
• Product Management discipline experience of a business or consumer facing application or technology service
