Title and Summary

Director Small & Medium Enterprises, Distribution Channels Position: Director – Global Small & Medium Enterprises Distribution Channels

Overview:
Mastercard, a global technology company in the payments space, is seeking a dynamic Director to drive growth in the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) segment through alternative distribution channels (e.g. Payment Facilitators, ISVs, Consumer Packaged Goods etc.). The role involves diversifying go-to-market channels, developing strategic business plans, and collaborating with regional and global stakeholders to identify growth opportunities.

Role:

1. Distribution Enablement:
Bring SME knowledge to diversify go-to-market channels, focusing on building relationships with Payment Facilitator partners.
Develop strategic business plans for SME Segment Solutions, analysing revenue opportunities and markets to drive growth.

2. Market Analysis and Strategy:
Analyse regional market trends, dynamics, and competition to inform product and go-to-market strategies.
Enhance/Develop regional SME Segment Narrative for internal and external engagements.

3. Sales Support and Training:
Provide pre and after-sale support to sales teams, ensuring a detailed understanding of product features.
Draft and maintain go-to-market materials, sales, and training materials for SME Central Hub.

4. Thought Leadership and Communication:
Represent SME strategy in customer meetings and external conferences.
Drive thought leadership and best practice sharing within the SME Payment Facilitator vertical.

5. New Solutions and Initiatives:
Identify differentiated bundles for SME segment, supporting digitization of distribution channels.
Support GTM/Rollout for all new solutions and initiatives.

6. Customer Solution Centres Engagement:
Engage with local and regional Customer Solution Centres teams to ensure SME strategy implementation and KPI fulfilment.

7. Product Knowledge and Training:
Drive consistent SME Strategic Narrative across teams through training and product certification.
Ensure SME narrative alignment within larger teams.

Navigate technical and business-oriented conversations effectively.
Excellent writing skills and experience in creating training materials and product guides.
Self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can work independently.
Flexible and creative with the ability to adapt and thrive in a changing environment.
Ability to lead initiatives from start to finish with excellent time management skills.
Build cross-functional organizational relationships and establish an internal network for successful strategy execution.
Strong customer relationship-building and management skills.
Experience in financial services and payments (Issuing, Acquiring), with knowledge of competitive offerings and industry trends.
Understanding of SAAS, Marketplaces, Trade & Logistic sales and process would be preferable
