Director, Solution Engineering, Commercial Solutions Overview:

The candidate will drive integrated solution design and implementation for key customers leveraging various Mastercard products and services. In addition, the candidate will drive product innovations, monitor emerging trends, and evaluate new technologies through conducting opportunity analysis and proof of concept projects. Our customers include Issuers, Corporates, FinTechs, and Platforms serving buyers & suppliers in the B2B and T&E space. Our internal stakeholders include global & regional product managers, architects, and engineers across business units.

Primary Responsibilities:
Gain and possess deep process and technical expertise for differentiating and customizing solutions and understand the broad range of use cases and segments to support key clients and cross-functional teams.
Evaluate solution options and propose recommendations that integrate relevant best of breed products and services to serve market needs and solve for customer "pain points."
Analyze and interpret customer and product insights to identify product solutioning opportunities and create a competitive advantage.
Lead end-to-end solution design across functional areas when required for new business requirements.
Collaborate and partner with product owners, architects, and development leaders to help iterate, prioritize, and execute.
Document and share design for new solutions and best practices for improved processes. Regularly communicate new solutions, best practices and value propositions to partners, customers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor the competitive landscape and new technologies. Proactively assess opportunities for innovations and integrations that address issues of complex scope based on a deep understanding of the market ecosystem. Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate and market test.
Understand regulations and localization needs impacting our business, establish foundational global implementations.

All about you
Hands-on experience with building and scaling software products & solutions
Solid understanding of the payment (card as well as non-card) ecosystem, end-to-end flows, and different entities & roles. Domain experience in Commercial/ B2B payments space is strongly preferred.
Entrepreneurial attitude, excellent communication skills, and a customer experience focused mindset.
Strong relationship building skills and highly collaborative; excellent listening skills and facilitating & guiding senior executives/colleagues.
Intellectually curious, stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, risks, and opportunities.
Highly analytical, able to solve complex and ambiguous problems.
Strong oral and written communicator, able to communicate vision, thoughts, ideas, and solutions to different audiences.
Bachelor's degree required in Technology Product Management, Computer Science, or equivalent educational background. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
