Program Overview:

Mastercard Settings program empowers customers to seamlessly onboard and configure your product to their specific needs by providing guided workflows and enabling customers to test their configuration before going live.

Mastercard Settings Program manages the Parameter Management (Internal), Simulator License Generation Program (SLGP-Market facing), Simulators and Test Tools (Internal), Switch Configuration Manager and Switch Configuration Data Services (Internal) products.

The Role:

Technology leader who is hands-on & and can lead a team of engineers. Expected to spend 75% of time coding/on code related activities, and 25% coaching engineers on the team. This person is recognized as a team's authority and technical expert who drives innovation and organizational growth through their contributions.
They get their adrenaline rush by coding away in IDEs. They spend majority of their time in writing non-feature code. They are hands all the time and collaborate by writing interfaces, tests (unit or acceptance) and architecture fitness functions, outside of meeting rooms.
They implement, monitor and maintain compliance and security concerns in CI/CD pipelines to bring life to the principle of “Code is Design and Design is Code”.
Work on complex enterprise-wide initiatives spanning multiple services/programs and drives resolution
Work with business/product owners to architect and deliver on new services to introduce new products and bundles
Participate and contribute to team's agile process and decisions. Understand and contribute to Prioritization. Drive prioritization decisions and trade-offs in working with product partners
Drive the architectural design, including dependent services, service interactions, and policies
Take ownership to improve the customer experience of an entire set of services/applications sold as products or bundled services
Contribute and lead guild initiatives by engaging and mentoring Engineers at all levels to improve the craftsmanship of Software Engineering
Simplify and improve the cost/benefit of a function/service/architecture strategy

Take on organization-wide and public speaking engagements and publishes white papers and blogs on relevant and emerging technical topics
Consult across teams and across organization lines to identify synergies and reuse opportunities.
Participate and contribute to Principal review architecture meetings and drive resolutions to enterprise-wide challenges and regulatory needs
Conduct technical interviews for hiring engineering staff and raising the performance bar
Identify and raise awareness to silo-ed behaviors within the organization and teams

All About You / Experience
Deep understanding of Web technologies like HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript, JSON, REST web services
Hands on experience in multiple UI frameworks like Angular and React, etc.
Experience with creating Workflows/Decision models is ideal (Camunda, Bonita, etc.)
Experience creating wireframes
Experience with REST APIs
Leverage the latest tools and techniques of web UI/UX Development spectrum.
Engage with architects/product team to comprehend and design functional challenges, prototype innovative ideas, and new technologies, and help to create innovative solutions. Aware of latest trends.
Mentor UI engineers, which may include performing code reviews. Suggest tools, technologies, and best practices that improve stability.
In depth knowledge of JavaScript designs & Architectural Patterns
Collaborate with Product Management, Clients, UI/UX team, and UI Team.
Design and architecting web UI for Microservice based web application.
Design and architect reusable/common components
Should empower UI teams in following best coding standards
Hands on and influence team for front-end testing (Jasmine, Karma, Mocha,etc)
Knowledge of CI/CD
Sitecore experience is a plus
Recommend processes, services, software and other tools to support business objectives pertinent to user interfaces as well as infrastructure technologies.
Should be able to solve and guide UI teams on UI performance issues.
Working experience in Agile based software development environment.
Help to hire to grow and maintain a world-class front-end engineering team
Create UI wireframes explaining the concepts/workflow with modern tools.
Mandatory Expert Experience: JavaScript, HTML, CSS and one of the following: Angular, React or Vue.
Very Highly Valued: Workflow Automation Platform (Camunda or similar workflow platform), API development experience

In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
