Title and Summary
Lead Software Engineer OverviewThe Cryptographic Security Team is a high-performing, collaborative group focused on building foundational security capabilities for enterprise applications.
This role involves designing, developing, and delivering secure solutions with a strong emphasis on cryptography and application security.
Candidates should have a deep technical understanding of systems, a passion for secure software development, and the ability to ask the right questions to ensure efficient execution.
Strong interest in Corporate Security Engineering and willingness to learn advanced cryptographic concepts is essential.
Role
Design and develop secure, scalable applications and services using modern back-end programming languages and tools such as Java (Spring Boot)/NodeJS/nginx
Integrate cryptographic services and APIs into enterprise applications using Java (Spring Boot)/NodeJS
Collaborate with teams to define secure mechanisms for critical business functions in both on-premises and cloud environments.
Work closely with Hardware Security Module (HSM) vendors for lifecycle management and integration.
Contribute to architecture and standards for cryptography, PKI, and key management across SDLC, including CI/CD pipelines.
Implement automation for deployment and configuration of security components.
Identify performance bottlenecks and optimize application performance.
Participate in technical feasibility assessments and provide guidance on secure development practices.
All About You
Advanced experience developing with Java (Spring Boot), C/C++, or Python for building enterprise-grade applications.
Advanced experience with enterprise Linux (RHEL, Oracle, etc.)
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and secure coding practices.
Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and integration patterns.
Exposure to CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Experience with cryptography (encryption, hashing, TLS, PKCS#11) and ability to learn back-end development
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
Nice to Have
Experience with HSMs (Luna, Entrust, Utimaco, Payshield).
Knowledge of secure software development lifecycle and DevSecOps practices.
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools.
Understanding of cryptographic libraries and frameworks in Java.
