Manager, Account Management Overview
Our sales organization is seeking to build a diverse strategic and consultative workforce of world-class relationship managers, problem-solvers, and technologists. As part of the Account Team, our role is to be bold and innovative partners to win with our largest issuer by leveraging the best of our combined assets. We should operate as one team as we develop and execute joint strategies driving innovative payment solutions that deliver a superior experience and meaningful value to both the issuer and for Mastercard.

The successful candidate for this position will be managing the Commercial payments relationship across a range of regional markets across Asia Pacific - for one of Mastercard's key global accounts and one of the largest commercial card issuers in the Asia Pacific region.

The position requires a self-motivated, strategic, collaborative individual with strong relationship & account management skills, with the ability of working across functional global and regional teams, to execute and deliver on our strategy. The ideal candidate would have a strong focus on driving results, ability to manage and run high visibility projects and initiatives with strong data analytical and interpersonal and presentation skills. Applicants with a background in Payments (especially Commercial payments) are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities
• Partner, lead and develop Mastercard's relationship with the customer's business across a range of countries in the AP region.
• Work with the customer to co-create strategy and support execution with Mastercard assets and resources driving incremental value for our combined organizations.
• Drive Mastercard-branded volume growth and revenue through tailored solutions, strategic initiatives, and active participation in customer sales to highlight MasterCard differentiators and win new business.
• Serve as day-to-day contact with customer liaison
Liaison and collaborate with key internal Mastercard linkages and stakeholders to support the account on product, sales, pricing solutioning, delivery etc.
• Develop and execute annual account plans, business, and market reviews at the regional and local market level.
• Conduct and facilitate country level business reviews, workshops, learning sessions, other partner engagements etc. to help drive our commercial card strategy.
• Introduce and activate new B2B deals/verticals to the customer by engaging and collaborating with Mastercard subject matter expert teams.
• Manage the Mastercard deal and contractual commitments.
• Successfully manage the customer's performance, ensuring that all targets and other performance metrics are met.
• Support the bank partner on day-to-day BAU requests and general operations.

Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management, business development, or a related role in the financial services industry.
• A self-starter, solutions-oriented, results-driven individual, who is focused on getting things done.
• Strong account and relationship management skills, with the ability to manage senior stakeholders and leadership teams.
• Significant experience in Business Development/ Account/ Product management.
• Strong understanding of the payments industry and/or commercial business.
• Project management, analytical/problem solving and planning skills.
• Competent in both issuing and merchant payment systems.
• Broad market awareness, able to think strategically, creatively and able to work collaboratively.
• Flexible and open-minded when it comes to taking on a variety of projects.
• Strong interpersonal relationship, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
