Title and Summary

Manager, Business Development, Digital Partnerships, China Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and target-driven Manager of Business Development to aggressively accelerate revenue growth and expand Mastercard's footprint through digital partnerships. This role will focus on the global B2C ecommerce marketplace, and demands a relentless focus on driving new sales opportunities, converting leads, and exceeding ambitious partnership revenue targets. The successful candidate will possess a strong hunter mentality, consistently delivering results by developing high-impact sales strategies and closing deals that deliver measurable value for Mastercard and our partners.

Key Responsibilities
• Sales & Revenue Generation: Own and exceed targets derived from digital partnerships. Actively prospect, identify, and pursue new business opportunities, advancing them through the sales funnel to close high-value deals.
• Lead Conversion: Qualify, nurture, and convert leads through effective consultative selling and solution-based approaches. Negotiate terms, develop proposals, and secure commercial agreements that optimize revenue for Mastercard.
• Strategic Account Management: Develop and execute tailored sales strategies for key accounts. Build strong, trust-based relationships with decision-makers and influencers within partner organizations.
• Project Coordination: Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of digital partnership projects. Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery.
• Market Intelligence: Continuously monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving client needs to inform sales tactics and uncover untapped business opportunities.
• Collaboration & Enablement: Work closely with multi-regional and product teams, to craft winning propositions and ensure seamless execution of partnership agreements.
• Reporting & Metrics: Provide regular updates on performance, pipeline status, and progress against targets. Deliver actionable insights to drive continuous sales improvement and maximize revenue potential.

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 7+ years of proven sales experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or consulting, preferably within payments, fintech, or technology sectors.
• Track Record of Success: Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve and exceed aggressive sales and revenue goals, including the negotiation and closing of complex commercial agreements.
• Hunting Mentality: Self-motivated, proactive, and resourceful with a relentless drive to generate leads and convert them into long-term revenue streams.
• Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the digital payments landscape, emerging technologies, and the value chain relevant to client needs.
• Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to develop influential relationships and establish trust with C-level executives and external stakeholders.
• Strategic Thinking: Capability to devise and execute sales strategies informed by market analysis, partnership performance data, and competitive intelligence.
• Language Skills: Native or bilingual proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
• Education: Bachelor's degree required; MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred.
