Title and Summary

Manager, Climate Risk Overview:
The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) team is looking for a Manager, Climate Risk who will be a core member of the Climate Risk Team at Mastercard. They would be responsible for developing, managing, and maintaining core elements of Mastercard's Enterprise Risk Management Framework for Climate Risk. The role will also engage with MA's ESG community to support overall alignment with MA ESG Strategy and firm-wide mandatory and voluntary disclosure requirements.
Role:

The Manager, Climate Risk will be responsible for:
Support Enhancement of Climate Risk Management
• Manage a framework to embed Climate Risk into ERM risk management processes, including relevant policies and procedures on Climate Risk, as required.
• Ensure ESG risks are reflected in the Company's risk taxonomy
• Ensure material Climate and ESG-related risks are captured in the Company's risk register and escalated in line with the ERM policy
• Engage with broader MA Sustainability, ESG Controllership, and ESG community more broadly on Climate Risk
Develop Risk-related ESG Disclosure Material
• Lead coordination and development of risk-related components of voluntary and mandatory disclosures, e.g., CSRD, SEC disclosure, Corporate Sustainability Report, etc.
• Coordinate socialization of risk-related Transition Plan with MA Risk Leadership
• Lead facilitation of alignment of regulated businesses that have climate risk-related disclosure requirements
Engage with Business & Functions
• Support engagement with business and functions, e.g., Business, Finance, Sustainability, etc., to develop and execution climate-related risk management practices
• Support and document review and challenge of climate-related processes with ERM and Climate Risk Team

All About You:
• Prior risk management experience in a large multinational financial institution with Climate Risk program or consulting experience in ESG/Climate Risk space
• Knowledge of risk management practices (e.g., ERM, ORM, technology)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to influence at all levels including outside his/ her
reporting lines
• Experience in partnering with senior management
• Articulate and highly effective communicator (written, oral, presentation)
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. Keen attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure, in sometimes ambiguous circumstances
• Understands and appreciates diverse backgrounds
• Knowledge of the payments industry and products, competitive environment, consumer trends, and economic environment.
