Overview
Mastercard has a vision to build a leadership position as the only truly multi-rail payments technology company and Europe is at the forefront in defining and executing our multi-rail strategy.
Mastercard Western Europe is looking for Manager, Sales Specialist to drive our Mastercard Move business in Spain/Portugal/Andorra and continue leading in this constantly evolving business environment and to further strengthen our position.

What You Will Do
You will act as the business owner for Mastercard Move in Western Europe, leading both long term strategy and day to day execution. Your key responsibilities include:
Go to Market & Commercial Leadership
• Craft compelling value propositions tailored to priority customer segments across Spain, Portugal and Andorra.
• Lead business development efforts: pipeline creation, deal shaping, sales training, and partner engagement.
• Evaluate business cases, new business models and partnership opportunities to strengthen our competitive position.
Strategy & Insights
• Drive market analysis and translate insights into impactful commercial and product strategies.
• Select and monitor KPIs that measure commercial success and turn data into actionable insights.
Cross Functional Orchestration
• Work closely with the regional product organization and global New Payment Platforms teams to shape product evolution for Europe.
• Partner with the Customer Solutions Center Lead and other stakeholders to identify, qualify and convert business opportunities.
• Ensure seamless delivery and implementation for customers.
• Monitor and ensure customer success and performance.
Advocacy & Influence
• Serve as an ambassador for Mastercard Move internally and externally.
• Champion the adoption of innovative money movement solutions across the ecosystem.
Some travel will be required.
About you
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Extensive professional experience executing business development across different payment types, technologies and customer segments (banks, fintechs, corporates, merchants, software vendors, governments).
• Experience in Cross Border Payments and/or Card push payments is required.
• Understanding of market economics and dynamics of FX rates.
• Understanding of the four-party model and alternative payment methods.
• Successful track record managing P&L and sales objectives.
• Experience executing strategies into clear action plans.
• Self-motivation, curiosity, proactivity and creativity in solving issues and finding business opportunities. Experience in blue oceans deals will be a key differentiator.
• Ability to complete complex tasks with limited direction and in autonomy. Ambiguity is inspiring.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification. Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• Fluency in Spanish and English is required. French or Italian will be valued.
• Strong presence & communication skills.
• Proven team player with ability to work with all levels in a highly intellectual, collaborative, and fast paced environment.
• Ability to use multiple sources of data and information and make them speak in a simple business manner. Ability to cut the noises out of it.
• Tech skills: Microsoft office full-suite and Salesforce are a must-have, and the candidate should master them inside-out. The ideal candidate should also be curious with any new technology that can increase its productivity to move fast and smartly on a daily basis (AI, Tableau, etc.).

Experience & Expertise
• Strong background in business development or sales across payment types, technologies or customer segments (banks, fintechs, corporates, merchants, software vendors, governments).
• Experience in Cross Border Payments and card push payments are a a must.
• Good understanding of FX markets, the four party scheme and alternative payment methods.
• Proven track record managing P&L and delivering sales targets.
• Ability to turn strategy into practical, actionable plans.

• High self motivation, curiosity and creativity especially when navigating ambiguous or “blue ocean” opportunities.
• Ability to independently drive complex initiatives with minimal direction in a matrix organisation.
• Strong communication skills and executive presence.
• Fluent in Spanish and English. French or Italian is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills: ability to simplify complexity and extract clear narratives from data and trends.
• Solid tech foundation: Microsoft Office suite and Salesforce are must haves. Skills in AI, Tableau and other productivity tools is highly valued.
