Overview
Mastercard's Market Business Intelligence (MBI) platform is the unified entry point to the Mastercard Services suite, delivering seamless user experiences, streamlined access, and one-click checkouts. MBI empowers organizations across the payments ecosystem by connecting users to over 35 products that provide market data, competitive assessments, portfolio insights, learning, innovation, and cyber intelligence.
Through flagship tools such as Cards Lab, Digital Safari TV, Digital Index, Learning Lab, Market Trends, Mastercard Research Center (MRC), and Sandbox as a Service (SBaaS), MBI enables smarter go-to-market strategies, improves approval rates, and drives digital transformation for acquirers, processors, banks, fintechs, and other financial institutions.
Within MBI, the Market Intelligence (MI) program curates and supports these products, playing a critical role in delivering actionable insights that fuel strategic growth.
Role
As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will:
- Lead program execution for MBI and MI initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and future state architecture.
- Liaise with SMEs, Vendors, and internal stakeholders to gather, validate, and manage requirements across multiple workstreams.
- Drive planning and delivery, managing timelines, dependencies, and risks to ensure successful outcomes.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration between engineering, product, and business units.
- Ensure governance and transparency, providing clear reporting and status updates to leadership.

- Skilled at managing escalations and maintaining alignment with leadership priorities.
- Deep understanding of business strategy and design approaches within product, program, or technology domains.
- Ability to ask the right questions, evaluate trade-offs, and guide teams toward optimal outcomes.
- Committed to continuous learning and growth, fostering psychological safety and modeling a growth mindset for the team.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and policies related to cybersecurity and IT management (e.g., GDPR, FBA, CBA, PFMI) is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of Mastercard products, technology, security, and risk management practices is a plus but not required.
