Title and Summary
Senior Analyst, Global Partnerships, Solutioning & Futureproofing Overview:The Global Partnerships (GP) team is responsible for cultivating and managing Mastercard's strategic partnerships with key players across the payments ecosystem. The team works with global players in tech, e-commerce, and financial services to create innovative, differentiated products and solutions that shape the future of commerce. Through a consultative approach, and inspired by Mastercard's longstanding focus on inclusive growth, we are passionate about working hand in hand with mission-aligned companies to solve real-world problems for people and businesses around the world.
The GP Strategy & Business Excellence team leads key strategic initiatives for Global Partnerships, provides analytics and insights to drive business results, creates balanced deal constructs that drive the best value for MA, delivers strategic initiatives, solutions for operational pain points, monitors business risks, assists with the articulation of the strategy and progress against it.

Role:
The Senior Analyst will focus 50/50 on strategy and solutioning, and will report to the VP, Solutioning & Futureproofing on the GP Strategy & Business Excellence team. This team is an agile team (run like an in-house consulting team) executing projects across Global Partnerships. All team members will maintain the log of project requests coming in from across the GP verticals and beyond (the project pipeline) for subsequent review and prioritization of the projects (clearly articulating selection criteria) and ‘staff' against selected projects.
It requires a strong customer focus, working in coordination with the account teams across Americas and APEMEA, for accounts that are cross-regional in nature to advocate for the customer. He / she will understand the local, regional and global nuances of the partnerships (both strategic and financial) and the strategy for moving forward Mastercard priorities while protecting against strategic risks. The Senior Analyst will support a range of projects and will engage with stakeholders across business units and functions.
The individual will also work with the Director, Strategy and market teams to assess the impact of new market developments or regulation and conduct segment research, competitive intelligence, etc. as required in support of GP account teams across regions and build optimal narratives for leadership discussions. Additionally, he / she will occasionally work with our Global Corporate Development team to support high priority strategic initiatives related to GP segments.
The role requires engaging with – and the ability to build buy-in from – stakeholders across business units, functions, and regions to execute enterprise-wide strategies.
Project examples include:
• Internal executive level Quarterly Business and Operating Reviews presentation development support
• Contributing to Global Partnership narratives
• Conducting segment research, impact assessments of new markets, and competitive intelligence
• Building holistic narratives outlining relevant Mastercard tools to support specific product acceleration efforts
• Enabling cross-regional feedback loop to Product on customer feedback, pain points, competitive intelligence
• Developing new initiatives or programs that focus on new industry verticals / increasing vertical penetration and/or enhancing Mastercard's value proposition to customers thereby driving new revenue opportunities
• Executing cross-functional initiatives that improve Mastercard's operating model and/or industry standards to address GP team pain points or GP customer pain points
• Facilitating customer workshops focused on innovations, latest trends, and guidance for customers
