Overview
The Business Financial Support (BFS) team is looking for a Senior Analyst to act as a strategic partner in providing transaction and exception processing, settlement validations, as well as consulting across many product and business functions. The Senior Analyst would responsible for ensuring the completeness and accuracy of settlement positions on a daily basis as the company enters into new markets with regulatory constraints. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, intellectually curious, analytical, and possesses an inherent drive to learn the depths of their responsibilities and how their product supports our organization.

Role
• Reconciliation of 3rd party network positions versus internally generated positions
• Generate and submit wire requests to settlement operations team for settlement of daily coversheet positions with clearinghouses
• Responsible for translation of proprietary 3rd party messaging formats to standard Mastercard syntax
• Perform manual recovery of rejects and other variances as required through fee collections
• Consultation and troubleshooting in conjunction with Operations & Technology team
• Prepare reporting for executive management in Mexico office
• Assist Settlement Operations with daily payment process to ensure intraday regulatory obligations are met
• Research any variances and coordinate with systems teams and local Mexico team to identify and resolve the issue

All About You
• The ideal candidate will be someone who is detail oriented with a strong accounting and reconciliation background and interest in mastercard's internal clearing systems
• Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish
• Proven ability to meet specific deadlines
• Able to identify and escalate issues with potential solutions and impact to key stakeholders.
• Advanced Microsoft Suite experience, specifically Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or similar analytical field.
