Title and Summary

Senior Project Manager, Advisors Client Services Overview

The Data & Services team is a key differentiator for Mastercard, providing the cutting-edge services that help our customers grow. Focused on thinking big and scaling fast around the globe, this agile team is responsible for end-to-end solutions for a diverse global customer base. Centered on data-driven technologies and innovation, these services include payments-focused consulting, loyalty and marketing programs, and data-driven information and risk management services.


Within the Data & Services organization, Advisors Client Services organization is looking for a Technical Project Manager to implement Digital Deploy projects. Digital Deploy projects include implementation of digital strategies, digital solutions and customer value propositions and execution of the last mile programme management, technical implementation, and commercialization and go-to-market activities of products and platforms; with strong focus on quality, on budget and on time executions. For select products and services, we also provide operational support and change management activities after the go-live of the platforms.

The technical project manager is a position that straddles two disciples. Like any project manager, they plan, schedule, and manage projects, however, the technical part refers to the projects, which tend to be in IT or related to IT. They need to have leadership qualities, manage teams, allocate resources, and make project plans and schedules. They must be organized and great communicators. As the projects themselves are usually highly technical, the technical project manager must understand technology and architecture to properly manage the projects.

Role

End to end project management - project planning, documentation, scheduling, finances, tracking, technical handover.

Manage Tech Squad (embedded software development teams) type of implementations at project / program management level in addition to Scrum Masters, who will drive day-to-day sessions (some projects, these roles might be combined under Technical PM).

Manages project costs and ensures that the project stays within budget

Develops cost estimates and tracks expenditures

Makes informed decisions to optimize project costs without compromising quality or scope

Act as liaison between external vendors and team members as required.

Chair and minute weekly project meetings with internal / external stakeholders.

Manage clear channel of communication with internal and external stakeholders in relation to project status.

Ensure completion of projects in an efficient and cost-effective manner in line with deadlines and required structures.

Leading high visibility strategic programs made up of multiple teams/workstreams.

Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues identified throughout the delivery of initiatives.

Using strong project and organizational knowledge, leadership, and active facilitation to ensure effective team meetings and support high performance teams.

Communicating effectively with team members, senior leaders, and the broader organization.

All About You

5+ years of project management experience (ideally with relevant qualifications)

Experience in delivering full tech stack implementations at different technology tiers (channels, middleware, back-end)

Proven knowledge and experience in Agile/Lean and waterfall development methodologies and managing complex projects in financial services.

Demonstrated ability to think strategically when planning, managing teams and processes.

Takes accountability for all project management aspects and works effectively and closely with tech squads.

Skillful use of interpersonal skills and influence to accomplish work and ensure optimal team performance.

Excellent communication and customer service skills, which enable successful collaboration with executive level stakeholders.

Strong experience facilitating project team meetings, cross-functional communication and decision making, and ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional or horizontally aligned teams.

Possesses in-depth knowledge of hardware, software, networking, and cloud computing concepts

Stays up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends

Can effectively evaluate technology selection, implementation, and integration
