Title and Summary

Senior Vice President, Bill Pay Engineering Transfer Solutions are integral to our multi-rail strategy, and our ability to capture new payment flows within the Mastercard franchise. Transfer Solutions sit alongside infrastructure and services as the three legs of the multi-rail strategy and will leverage all Mastercard payment capabilities to target these incremental flows through the development of flow and segment-specific value propositions and the delivery of those through our B2B partners, including financial institutions, businesses, FinTechs and other ecosystem players.

The Senior Vice President, Bill Pay Engineering, will drive a multi-year technology transformation strategy across three existing pillars, spanning global deployments with locally relevant solutions in various markets.
In this role, the SVP Bill Pay Engineering will drive significant platform modernization across various existing platforms, taking a holistic approach to consolidation, optimization, modernization, and a hybrid deployment model.
The SVP Bill Pay Engineering, is a technology leader and a strategic thinker who can zoom into low-level details where required and will set technical direction for the global team. A key aspect of this role will be working closely with product and enterprise technology leadership to build and execute a three-year transformation roadmap.

Responsibilities
• Develop a detailed technology roadmap in partnership with product and technology leadership.
• Responsible for operational excellence and feature development for existing platforms, including incremental platform improvements.
• Working with P&C and recruitment to strengthen processes to nurture and grow technology talent across multiple global locations.
• Manage alignment with overall P&E, Tech, and regional teams on strategy, priorities, and growth objectives.
• Develop strong internal executive-level partnerships to ensure cross-functional alignment and maximum support.
• Lead by example to embed the Mastercard Way principles across the group.

All About You
• Hands-on experience leading a large-scale technology transformation initiative.
• Deep technical knowledge of event-driven architecture patterns, asynchronous microservice design, software frameworks, and complex distributed systems.
• Experience designing and deploying applications to public cloud infrastructure.
• Deep knowledge of secure SDLC best practices, focusing on continuous testing and validation.
• Proven track record building out global engineering teams with a strong focus on talent development.
• Proven track record in multi-disciplinary collaboration to drive collective outcomes.
• Ability to communicate across various audiences to influence, inspire, and drive decision-making.
• Highly collaborative leadership style leading to increased employee engagement across your group.
