Title and Summary
Software Engineer II OverviewThe Decision Management Platform (DMP) enables intelligent decision-based products through real time and near real time streaming analytics with the ability to govern these decisions and manage their outcomes with business agility at global scale to support Cyber Intelligence and prevent Fraud.
The new Decision as a Service team in DMP is developing a lightweight solution that encapsulates the powerful features of the DMP to provide Business Logic Implementation as a service for internal and market facing applications & services that enables us to grow our services, embrace new networks and keep our leadership in payments.
We are looking for a Software Development Engineer II to join us on this amazing journey as we succeed on many tremendous opportunities ahead.
Role
• Plan, design and develop technical solutions and alternatives to meet business
requirements in adherence with MasterCard standards, processes and best
practices
• Work closely with partner technical leads and architects
• Assist with support issues by troubleshooting incidents and problem tickets
• Possess the aptitude to quickly learn and contribute to our complex platform
• Be an integral part of the Agile SAFe discover and elaboration sessions
• Participate in PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help the Department with selection of
Vendor Solutions, Technologies, Methodologies and Frameworks.
• Perform code reviews of co-worker's deliverables to ensure best practices
• Provide technical guidance to junior team members
All About You
• Considerate, polite, fun-loving, collaborative
• Good organizational and communication skills: both verbal and written.
• Good Skills in Linux, Spring Framework (including Spring Boot) and Java
development (JDK 1.7 or greater), design patterns, threading, unit testing,
debugging.
• Good understanding of agile software development processes, ideally a
knowledge of SAFe
• Experience with JBoss, Tomcat, shell scripting, JSON, multi-threading, Maven,
Oracle PL/SQL
• Good with Eclipse or IntelliJ and ability to compile, deploy, and execute code
artifacts
• Nice to have that will set you apart – experience in developing cloud ready
microservices, Messaging (MQ & JMS) and Business rules execution systems
