Title and Summary
Vice President, Business Development Reporting to Senior Vice President & Account Head, South Asia, this role will:Manage all aspects of the MasterCard relationship with assigned customer(s).
Develop and scale agreed opportunities, programs, and solutions.
This position requires a commercially astute business developer who combines strategic thinking with strong execution skills and is very comfortable with technology.
Role:
Maintain primary responsibility for managing the profitability of target customer(s).
Lead all account management and business development activities for customer(s).
Design and execute strategic and tactical plans to enhance customer and MasterCard profitability.
Develop strong working relationships with key influencers at the customer bank and with MasterCard support teams.
Collaborate with MasterCard cross-functional teams to identify new segment and product opportunities and develop bespoke propositions to maximize segment penetration.
Manage and develop new and existing products, solutions, programs, and services as required.
Conduct environment scanning, feasibility, and opportunity assessments on new concepts and ideas.
Recommend market strategy, including pricing, go-to-market approaches, profit planning, and expense budgets.
All About You:
Experience in B2B/B2C Business Development, preferably in BFSI and Payments sectors.
Demonstrated competence in Channel Management and Product Management/New Product Development (NPD).
Proven experience handling Strategy, Revenue, and Market Share responsibilities for a Line of Business at a national level.
Ability to conceptualize, articulate, and develop new business ideas.
Entrepreneurial and commercially focused mindset.
Strong relationship-building, impact, and influencing skills.
Superior communication and presentation abilities.
Proficiency in integrating knowledge across Sales, Product, Marketing, Operations, and Risk disciplines.
Comfortable working in a small team and matrix environment.
