Vice President, Product Management - Technical VP of Product Management - Mastercard Software Builders Experience Program (MSBX)

We're looking for a VP Product Manager with a passion for builder's experience to help lead this transformation, driving innovation across the entire development stack, from infrastructure to intelligent tooling. As VP of Product Management for MSBX, you'll drive Mastercard's strategic shift toward AI-enhanced development practices, overseeing developer community initiatives and spearheading AI adoption across our engineering organization.

What You'll Do

You'll define and execute the product vision for tools and platforms that revolutionize how thousands of Mastercard engineers build, test, and deploy software. Leading a team of Product Management Directors, Principals and Leads, you'll drive innovation throughout the entire development lifecycle, from intelligent code generation and automated testing to AI-powered operations and compliance systems.

Your role positions you at the forefront of enterprise AI implementation, where cutting-edge technology meets large-scale software engineering challenges. You'll build and nurture thriving internal developer communities while establishing new standards for productivity and innovation across Mastercard's technical teams.

You'll establish foundational standards for software development in the age of AI augmentation and foster an innovative community of AI-enhanced engineers who will propel Mastercard's technical advancement.

Key Job Responsibilities

Product Leadership & Team Development – Direct and coach an exceptional team of Directors, Principals, and Lead Product Managers who oversee Mastercard's development ecosystem and tooling infrastructure. Establish the strategic product direction and execution roadmap for our comprehensive development platform portfolio, encompassing solutions across the entire software engineering workflow.

Community Engagement & AI Integration – Serve as a key liaison with Mastercard's Guild network, driving widespread adoption of AI-powered development tools among our global engineering workforce. Build collaborative learning environments and develop scalable frameworks for propagating proven AI methodologies throughout the organization.

Executive Collaboration & Strategic Influence – Partner closely with Mastercard's AI Center of Excellence leadership to architect and advance our technical vision for AI-first development practices. Engage regularly with VP, SVP and EVP as a trusted advisor during Mastercard's Development and AI evolution, contributing to high-level strategic initiatives that will define the company's technological trajectory.

You'll work closely with Engineering, Data Science, AI, and Program Management to ensure smooth execution across the organization. In line with Mastercard's total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more.

Pay Ranges

O'Fallon, Missouri: $194,000 - $310,000 USD
