Note: This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week on-site in our Brooklyn, Ohio office. Seeking applicants that reside within a 50-mile radius of the Brooklyn, Ohio office.

Job Summary:
Provides administrative support to brokers and other external customers in the sales and underwriting of new and existing accounts in the small group market.
Responsibilities:
- Handles small group and broker support calls on underwriting and administrative inquiries.
- Reviews new group/individual submissions for completeness and compliance with underwriting regulations.
- Processes benefit changes in accordance with departmental policies.
- Assists broker offices and customers with maintenance and security issues on the Company's web based systems.
- Maintains awareness of product and process changes and Health Care Reform topics by actively participating in bi-monthly staff meetings and webinars, in addition to maintaining active Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) licensing status.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree in business administration or related field.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the role may substitute for a degree.
- 3 years support experience in a financial services or health care sales and/or customer service environment.
Professional Certification(s):
- Accident & Health License with Ohio Department of Insurance (ODI) (required to obtain within 4 months of hire).
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with health insurance products and sales and service operations (underwriting, stop loss, benefit plan design, funding).
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. #LI-JT1
