Job Summary:      

In partnership with other Medical Mutual areas (e.g., Sales, Provider Network, Provider Service Engagement) serve as a clinical leader responsible for leading a team focused on advancing population health programs with strategic health systems, provider groups, employer groups, and community organizations.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team responsible for partnering with employer groups, health systems and provider groups to educate them on Medical Mutual population health capabilities, better understand needs of employer group along with health systema and provider capabilities, identify areas of alignment, and increase collaboration in population programs that help medical mutual members improve their health while reducing the long-term cost of care.
  • Partner with other organizational leaders to advance strategies that include defining and implementing analytics to support multiple initiatives and objectives with providers, health systems, and employer groups. Customize clinical model to partner with highly strategic providers in VBC arrangement and employer groups at varying level of size
  • Develop relationships with community organizations that help Medical Mutual members address barriers to care
  • Supporting new business and client retention functions through finalist presentations, RFP support, and client meetings.
  • Collaborate with CQHS leaders to identify opportunities in population health model and implement strategies to strengthen services, value proposition, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Public Health or related field preferred; Master's degree preferred; Graduate of a registered nursing program approved by the Ohio State Nursing Board
  • 8 years of experience in varied patient healthcare settings, 3 years of which are in a clinical leadership capacity
  • Experience working with health systems, provider, employer groups to develop and implement initiatives which improve overall quality performance and cost of care for population

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to form partnerships with providers, health systems, and employer groups through an understanding of their objectives and skill at finding opportunities to leverage the strengths of their organization and Medical Mutual for a shared benefit
  • Comprehensive knowledge of population health programs and their ability to achieve outcomes at the individual, group and community level
  • Knowledge of clinical policies and procedures development
  • Knowledge of population health principles or patient-center medical home principles
  • Strong health data analysis skills
  • Strong presentation and account management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
