Inpatient & Outpatient Cardiac Electrophysiology Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Opening at MedStar Washington Hospital Center Georgetown University Hospital

MedStar's Heart Rhythm service line has provided cutting-edge cardiac arrhythmia care since its establishment in 1985. Today, it is the largest heart and vascular service line in the MedStar System and continues to grow. Our program is the region's leading referral center. Our physicians are internationally recognized experts. And our program has become a widely sought-after training and education center and driver of state-of-the-art clinical trials. We've cared for patients with cardiac arrhythmias since we opened the region's first program dedicated to these conditions in 1985.

 

We are seeking a nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join our Heart Rhythm team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center and Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. In this role, the NP/PA would focus on performing consultations in the hospital, seeing patients for pre-procedure management and managing patients in the outpatient clinic. The NP/PA will be working with a group of experienced APPs and attending physicians whom will be trusted and supporting mentors to promote learning, growth, and career development. This position is primarily at Washington Hospital Center with some rotations at Georgetown University Hospital. There is great deal of autonomy for day-to-day patient management. A background in cardiology is a plus.

Work responsibility will be four 10-hour shifts a week Monday through Friday with weekend and holiday rotation. No nighttime or on-call duties.

Cardiac experience is a plus but not required. Applications from new graduates are welcome!

 

Nurse Practitioners must be an ACNP. We cannot accept FNP's for this role. 


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.

  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills preferred.

USD $115,003.00 - USD $165,006.00 /Yr.
